Item Required Description

Label

(Display)

A label for identifying the ledger within the application.

Name

The name of the ledger, etc. Supports multiple languages.

Base Ledger

(Display)

If this ledger is a view ledger, the base ledger it is based on is displayed. Otherwise, this is blank.

Dimension Configuration

In tabular form, dimensions are displayed in the first column (Dimension column).

The second column (Required column) indicates whether the dimension is required (system dimension) or not. Since system dimensions are used in all ledgers, the value in the third column (Usage column) is preset to ON and cannot be changed.

Whether or not to use that dimension in the ledger can be specified in a checkbox format in the third column (Usage column).

The fourth column (Base Dimension) can only be specified for view ledgers (see below).

Notes on view ledgers

  • In view ledgers, only custom dimensions that are the same as those used in the base ledger can be used. Being the same means that one is borrowing from the other, or both are borrowing the same dimension.

  • Custom dimensions added in a view ledger are used as aliases for any of the custom dimensions in the base ledger. It is necessary to specify which dimension to use as an alias in the fourth column (Base Dimension).

  • At least one of the custom dimensions used by the base ledger must appear in the base dimension column of the custom dimensions used by the view ledger.

Note Ledger

Only set this to ON if this ledger is to be a note ledger. It is not editable in view ledgers (follows the definition of the base ledger).
