Item Required Description

Label

(Display)

A label to identify the ledger within the application.

Name

The name of the ledger, etc. Supports multiple languages.

Base Ledger

(Display)

If this ledger is a View Ledger, its base ledger will be displayed. Otherwise, it will be blank.

Dimension Composition

In a tabular format, the first column (Dimension Column) displays the dimensions.

The second column (Required Column) indicates whether the dimension is mandatory (System Dimension). Since system dimensions are used in all ledgers, the value in the third column (Usage Column) is pre-set to ON and cannot be changed.

The third column (Usage Column) allows you to specify whether the dimension is used in the ledger by using a checkbox.

The fourth column (Base Dimension) can only be specified for View Ledgers (see below).

⚠Notes on View Ledgers

  • For View Ledgers, only dimensions with the same content as the custom dimensions used in the base ledger can be used. "Same content" means that one borrows from the other, or both borrow from the same dimension (borrowing dimensions).

  • Any custom dimensions added to the View Ledger will be used as aliases of one of the custom dimensions in the base ledger. You must specify which dimension serves as the alias in the fourth column (Base Dimension).

  • At least one of the custom dimensions used in the View Ledger must appear in the Base Dimension column of the custom dimensions used by the base ledger.

Set as Note Ledger

Enable this option only if this ledger is to be used as a Note Ledger. This cannot be edited in a View Ledger (it follows the base ledger definition).
