Application Type
This manual is in pilot operation.

Application Type
There are three types of applications. The choice among them is specified at the time of creating a new application (it is possible to change this after creation - see below).
Application Type | Overview |
---|---|
Workgroup |
The simplest type of application, suitable for use by small teams. In addition to the [Excel-Link] (integration function with Excel), it allows for data input and output through forms. It is also possible to use the ledger open/close function. Data from core systems can be directly imported through forms to create reports and analysis materials (code conversion with translation tables is also possible). |
Enterprise |
In addition to the functionalities of the Workgroup, it allows for the use of necessary functions for data access control (ledger access control function). Therefore, it can be used to disclose and provide data, including budget data, to various departments, which has been imported from core systems. |
Workflow |
In addition to the functionalities available in Enterprise type applications, it allows for the use of processes (workflow), enabling the collection and aggregation of budgets, actual analysis comments, forecasts, etc., from various departments. |
Applications of the Enterprise type and Workflow type, to which ledger access control functions are applied, may be referred to as "Secured Applications".
⚠ In versions prior to 6.1, there was an application type called "Basic". From version 6.2 onwards, this has been integrated into the Workgroup type. When upgrading from version 6.1 to 6.2 or later, Basic type applications will be converted to Workgroup type.
Relationship between Editions and Applications
(fusion_place >= 10.0)
From version 10.0 onwards, all application types are available regardless of the edition difference (fusion_place standard and fusion_place premium) (some functionalities may be restricted by the licensing agreement).
(fusion_place < 10.0)
-
fusion_place standard
-
Only "Workgroup" type applications can be created. However, only "simple" forms can be created (if applications backed up are imported, it is possible to use the pre-created full-featured forms).
-
"Enterprise" and "Workflow" type applications can be newly created based on the application definition file or application backup file. It is not possible to change the settings of the created applications. The following operations are possible:
-
Operations that can be performed with general user permissions, such as data input/output, submission and approval in workflows
-
Process management and other execution operations ([Manager] execution tab functionalities)
-
Inquiry and update of ledger data contents (including [Excel-Link] )
-
Maintenance of execution authorities by participants
-
-
-
fusion_place premium
-
All application types are available (some functionalities may be restricted by the licensing agreement).

Changing Application Types
In principle, it is possible to change the application type after its creation. For how to change, please refer to "Modifying Basic Information of Applications" in the operation guide.
There is upward compatibility among application types in the order of Workgroup < Enterprise < Workflow. That is, if the application type is changed to a higher level, the settings will be carried over as is. Conversely, if changed to a lower application type, settings not supported by the lower type will be deleted (a warning message will be displayed at the time of the type change). For example, changing from Enterprise type to Workgroup type will result in the deletion of ledger masks, access permission types, and participants.
