Panel Operations

Operations on Member Trees

Cutting or Copying Selected Members
Function Description

Places the selected member in the copy buffer[1]. When cutting, the member is removed from its position in the tree (the member itself is not deleted). If the cut member is no longer included in the tree, it will appear in the "Members Not in Trees" list. When copying, the member remains in the tree.

Execution Method

Select a member in the tree, then choose Edit  Cut Selected Member or Edit  Copy Selected Member from the menu.

Pasting Members
Function Description

Pastes the member stored in the copy buffer to the specified position in the member tree. The copy buffer remains unchanged, allowing the same member to be pasted into multiple member trees consecutively.

Execution Method

To paste a member at the root position, select the following menu option:

  • Edit  Paste Member  As Root

Alternatively, select a member in the tree as the reference position and execute one of the following menu options:

  • Edit  Paste Member  As Child

  • Edit  Paste Member  As Preceding Sibling

  • Edit  Paste Member  As Succeeding Sibling

Pasting Duplicated Members
Function Description

Creates a new member by duplicating the member stored in the copy buffer and pastes it to the specified position in the member tree. The copy buffer remains unchanged, allowing the same member to be duplicated and pasted in multiple locations consecutively.

The duplicated content includes only the label, name, and property values. Parent-child relationships with child members are not duplicated. After duplication, the label must be changed to ensure no duplicates exist (failure to do so will result in an error upon saving).

Execution Method

To paste a duplicated member at the root position, select the following menu option:

  • Edit  Paste Duplicated Member  As Root

Alternatively, select a member in the tree as the reference position and execute one of the following menu options:

  • Edit  Paste Duplicated Member  As Child

  • Edit  Paste Duplicated Member  As Preceding Sibling

  • Edit  Paste Duplicated Member  As Succeeding Sibling

Adding Members
Function Description

Generates a new member and adds it to the specified position in the member tree.

Execution Method

To add a member at the root position, select the following menu option:

  • Edit  Add Member  As Root

Alternatively, select a member in the tree as the reference position and execute one of the following menu options:

  • Edit  Add Member  As Child
