Configure the Default Finalizer Participant

Workflow-type applications are required to use the process management feature. This feature is not available for other application types.

Set the default Finalizer Participant for each Process Type. The Finalizer Participant set here serves as the default and will be applied as the Finalizer Participant when creating new processes for that process type. Changing the default Finalizer Participant does not immediately update the Finalizer Participant of existing processes. To apply the changes, execute "Refresh Process Definitions" for each process.

To configure the default Finalizer Participant, first select the target application. Then, follow these steps:

  1. In the Navigator pane (on the left side of the screen), click the "Execution" tab.

    The Execution tree will appear.

  2. In the Execution tree, click "Manage Processes."

    The "Manage Processes" panel will appear in the Editor pane (on the right side of the screen).

  3. In the "Manage Processes" panel, select the process type for which you want to configure or change the default Finalizer Participant from the list of process types.

    The current settings will be displayed in the "Finalizer (Default)" field.

  4. Click the Modify button next to the "Finalizer (Default)" field.

    The "Assign Finalizer Participant" dialog box will appear. You can configure the default Finalizer Participant by selecting from the list.

  5. In the "Assign Finalizer Participant" dialog box, select the default Finalizer Participant, and click the Execute button.

    The Finalizer Participant will be configured or updated.
