Backing Up an Application

What is an Application Backup?

Backing up an application refers to extracting all the data contained in the Application from the database and storing it in a separate file (backup file).

Since User Accounts Do Not Belong to Applications, they are not included in the backup target.

You can create a new application with the same contents as the original application based on the backup file. For details, see Creating a New Application.

How to Back Up an Application

First, log in to [Manager]. Then, follow the steps below to back up the application.

  1. Select the application you want to back up (refer to Selecting an Application for instructions).

  2. From the menu, select File  Backup Application.

    The "Back Up Application to File" dialog box will appear, prompting you to specify the target file name.

  3. Enter an appropriate file name in the "File Name" field, and click Save.

    The application backup will begin, and a backup file will be created.
