Create a New Ledger Edition

You can create a new ledger edition derived from any existing Ledger Edition. To create a new ledger edition, first select the target application. Then, follow these steps:

  1. In the Navigator pane (on the left side of the screen), click the "Execution" tab.

    The Execution tree will appear.

  2. In the Execution tree, click "Manage Ledger Editions (General)."

    The "Manage Ledger Editions (General)" panel will appear in the Editor pane (on the right side of the screen).

  3. On the "Manage Ledger Editions (General)" panel, click the edition in the ledger edition tree that you want to use as the base for the new edition.
    ⚠ For details on how to view the tree, refer to "View the Tree Structure of Ledger Editions."

  4. Click the Derive From Selected Edition button.

    A screen prompting you to enter a ledger edition key will appear.

  5. Enter the key you want to assign to the derived edition and click the OK button.

    ⚠ A ledger edition key is not mandatory, but without it, you cannot access the derived edition’s data in [Browser] or [Excel-Link]. The key can be assigned later if needed.

  6. The ledger edition tree will refresh. The new tree will include the derived edition you just created.
