Description of Translation Table (Maintenance) Panel Items

This panel is used to edit the Default Table of Translation Tables. For details about the meaning of the Default Table, please refer to the explanation of Translation Tables. Using the buttons on the right, you can add, delete, and reorder Translation Rules (rows in the Translation Table). The order of rows in the table indicates the priority of applying the rules. If a single Code to Translate matches multiple rows in the table, the Translation Rule closest to the top is applied.

Code to Translate

Specifies the code in the data to which the Translation Table is applied.

You can use a single-byte question mark ( ? ) and a single-byte asterisk ( * ) as wildcard characters. The ? matches any single character, and the * matches any string.

Translated Code

✓

Specifies the Translated Code corresponding to the above "Code to Translate."

Using the wildcard characters ? and *, you can replace these with the matching string from the "Code to Translate."

If #IGNORE is specified in the Translated Code field, the matching data for that row will be skipped.
