Importing Members from a File
This manual is in pilot operation.
|
To import member configuration data for User Defined Members from a file into a Dimension, first log in to [Manager] and select the target application. Then follow these steps to import:
Members can be imported from either the Dimension (Design) Panel or the Dimension (Maintenance) Panel. However, when importing from the latter, only User Defined Member configurations will be imported. |
-
Select the dimension to configure and display the Dimension (Maintenance) Panel (for steps, refer to Viewing Dimensions).
-
Ensure that encoding is properly set (this step can be skipped if already configured correctly).
-
Select
from the menu.
The "Import Members" dialog box will appear, prompting you to select a file. -
Select the file containing the member additions or updates, then click the Import Members button.
A "Processing Status" dialog box will appear, and after some time, the process will complete. -
After the import is complete, click the Save button to save the configuration.
If errors occur during the import, they will be displayed in the Processing Status screen. Even if errors occur, as many updates and registrations as possible will be applied. After the process completes, you can manually correct the members and save them, or discard the changes (using the Retrieve button), modify the import data, and re-import. Errors may also occur during saving, even if there are no errors during import. This is because stricter checks are performed during saving than during registration or modification. If you want to check before saving, click the Validate button at the bottom right of the screen. |
