Configuring Encoding

This manual is in pilot operation.

Configure the Encoding, which is applied when reading data from files or writing data to files. The encoding set here is used in the following situations:

[Manager]

Exporting and importing dimension members

[Browser]

Importing and exporting data

The procedure for configuring Encoding is as follows (common to both [Manager] and [Browser]):

  1. From the menu, select Options  Encoding.

    (fusion_place < 14.1)
    The submenu displays two options: "Japanese (Shift JIS)" and "Unicode (UTF-8)".

    (fusion_place >= 14.1)
    The submenu displays three options: "Japanese (Shift JIS)", "UTF-8", and "UTF-8 with BOM".

  2. Select one of the options (encoding).

    ⇒ The selected encoding is saved and will be retained the next time [Manager] or [Browser] is launched.
