Extracting Application Definition Information

This manual is in pilot operation.

What is Application Definition Information?

Application definition information refers to the total set of configuration objects registered through Application Design and Administration. However, this excludes Participant Authorities.

Also, since User Accounts Do Not Belong to Applications, they are not included in the application definition information.

The application definition information can be extracted into a file. This file is referred to as an "Application Definition File." The file extension is .apd (you may change it if desired).

By using this file, you can create a new application with the same definition information as the original application. For details, see Creating a New Application.

How to Extract Application Definition Information

First, log in to [Manager]. Then, follow the steps below to extract the application definition information.

  1. Select the application you want to extract the application definition information from (refer to Selecting an Application for instructions).

  2. From the menu, select File  Extract Application Definition.

The "Extract Application Definition to File" dialog box will appear, prompting you to specify the target file name.

  3. Enter an appropriate file name in the "File Name" field, and click Save.

An application definition file will be created with the specified file name.
