Set the Period Table

Designer
This manual is in pilot operation.

Each application has one Period Table. The Period Table is selected and applied from multiple templates. If there is no suitable template, you can also create a Period Table in Excel and import it. Upon creating a new application, a period table for companies with a March fiscal year (monthly, no adjustment month) is applied by default.

Designers can select a different Period Table (e.g., a Period Table with a minimum period unit of quarter or half-year, or a Period Table with an adjustment month for fiscal year-end). They can also change the name of each period.

To set the Period Table, log in to [Manager] as a designer and select the target application. Then, follow these steps:

  1. Display the Period Table panel (please refer to "View the Period Table" for steps).

  2. If you want to select a different Period Table, click the Select Period Table Template button at the top right of the panel. The "Select Period Table Template" dialog box will appear, choose a template from the list and click the Apply button.[1] The types of Period Tables you can select are described below.

  3. If you want to change the name of the relative period, click the "Relative Period" tab to select it, then select each "Relative Period" on the tree and enter the name.

  4. To save the configured Period Table, click the Save button.

At this time, the area occupied by ledger data in the database will not be released. While leaving it as is does not cause harm, you can execute File  Sweep Garbage from the menu to release the consumed area and make it reusable for other data.

Types of Period Table Templates Available for Selection

・Period Table with a Monthly Minimum Period Unit (No Adjustment Month)

The minimum period corresponds to each month (thus, the minimum number of periods is 12). There are 12 types, ranging from April start to March start.

Upon creating a new application, this type of Period Table with an April start is applied by default.

・Period Table with a Monthly Minimum Period Unit (With Adjustment Month)

In addition to the minimum period corresponding to each month, an "adjustment month" is set for each quarter (thus, the minimum number of periods is 16). It can be used when you want to treat fiscal year-end adjustment data separately from regular monthly data.

This type of Period Table also has 12 types, ranging from April start to March start.

・Period Table with a Quarterly Minimum Period Unit (No Adjustment Month)

The minimum period corresponds to each quarter. Only one type is available.

・Period Table with a Semi-Annual Minimum Period Unit (No Adjustment Month)

The minimum period corresponds to each half-year. Only one type is available.

・Period Table with a Monthly Minimum Period Unit (13 Months)

This is a Period Table with 13 minimum periods. It is designed for companies that adopt a system in which one accounting month is 4 weeks, and 13 accounting months make one fiscal year.

1. If you apply and save a Period Table with a different structure while data exists in the ledger, the ledger data will be lost (a warning message will appear before saving, so you can cancel the process at that time to avoid data loss).
