Change Your Multi-Factor Authentication Settings

This manual is in pilot operation.

You can change your multi-factor authentication settings by logging into [Manager], [Browser], or [Contributor] and following the steps below.

From v14.0 onwards, set up multi-factor authentication via the Multi-Factor Authentication screen in the Web menu.

Enable

To enable, an MFA device is required. Install the Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator app on your smartphone.

  1. From the menu, select File  User Settings to open the User Settings screen.

  2. In the Navigator pane (on the left side of the screen), select "Security."

  3. In the Editor pane (on the right side of the screen), check "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" under "Multi-Factor Authentication."

    A secret key string and QR code will be displayed.

  4. Register the secret key with your MFA device using the QR code or the string provided.

  5. Click OK.

    A dialog prompting for the authentication code will appear.

  6. Enter the authentication code displayed on your MFA device.

  7. Click OK to complete the setup.

    When you reopen the settings screen, "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" will be checked (enabled).

Disable
  1. From the menu, select File  User Settings to open the User Settings screen.

  2. In the Navigator pane (on the left side of the screen), select "Security."

  3. In the Editor pane (on the right side of the screen), uncheck "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" under "Multi-Factor Authentication."

  4. Click OK to complete the setup.

    When you reopen the settings screen, "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" will be unchecked (disabled).

Enable

    The "Multi-Factor Authentication Settings" dialog will appear.

  2. Check "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication."

  3. Register the secret key with your MFA device using the QR code or the string provided.

  4. Click OK.

    A dialog prompting for the authentication code will appear.

  5. Enter the authentication code displayed on your MFA device.

  6. Click OK to complete the setup.

    When you reopen the settings screen, "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" will be checked (enabled).

Disable
  1. From the menu, select Options  Multi-Factor Authentication.

    The "Multi-Factor Authentication Settings" dialog will appear.

  2. Uncheck "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication."

  3. Click OK to complete the setup.

    When you reopen the settings screen, "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" will be unchecked (disabled).
