Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a feature that enhances security by requiring, in addition to regular login credentials, an authentication code (6-digit number) generated by an MFA device to log into fusion_place.

(fusion_place >= 14.0) Each user can enable/disable multi-factor authentication from the Web menu’s MFA Settings Screen.

(fusion_place < 14.0) Each user can enable/disable multi-factor authentication from [Manager] / [Browser] / [Contributor].

Administrators with user management authority can check

The status of MFA enablement/disablement for each user from the User Account Management Screen in [Manager].

Disable MFA for any user (e.g., when the user has lost their MFA device).

When using LDAP authentication, MFA cannot be used.

Use the Requester or Web-API
functions with user accounts for which MFA is disabled.
When logging in with an account that has MFA enabled, HTTP status "401 Unauthorized" will be returned.
