Specify the Application Type. You can change the type after creation.

If creating by importing an existing application definition file

If creating by importing an existing application backup file

Specify the location and file name of the application backup file. Click the button with the icon magnifying glass v12.1, and the "Select Application Backup File" dialog will appear, allowing you to select the appropriate file.

  3. Click OK.

The application will be created, and the "Application Basic Information" panel will be displayed.

Application Definition File and Backup File

The differences between application definition files and application backup files are as follows:

Content Creation Method

Application Definition File

Contains application settings information but does not include data from the ledger. Therefore, an application created from an application definition file will only include settings, and the content data will be empty.

Extract Definition Information from the Application.

Application Backup File

Contains all data within the application. Therefore, an application created from an application backup file will have the same content as the original application, excluding the application label and name.

However, information related to user permissions in the application (Application Design and Management Permissions and Participant Authorities) will only restore user account information registered in the system where the newly created application is included.

Backup the Application.
