Application Definition File and Backup File
The differences between application definition files and application backup files are as follows:
Content | Creation Method | |
---|---|---|
Application Definition File |
Contains application settings information but does not include data from the ledger. Therefore, an application created from an application definition file will only include settings, and the content data will be empty. |
|
Application Backup File |
Contains all data within the application. Therefore, an application created from an application backup file will have the same content as the original application, excluding the application label and name. However, information related to user permissions in the application (Application Design and Management Permissions and Participant Authorities) will only restore user account information registered in the system where the newly created application is included. |
