Reflect Data

This manual is in pilot operation.

You can reflect (save) the data from linked regions on an Excel sheet back to the fusion_place ledger. Follow these steps:

  1. In Excel, select and display the sheet where you want to reflect data.

  2. On the fusions ribbon in Excel, click the Reflect button in the "Update" group.

(For the first connection or when a certain amount of time has passed since login, user authentication will be required. Refer to Connecting to the Server for authentication procedures.)

The data in the linked regions on the Excel sheet will be reflected (saved) to the fusion_place ledger.
Additionally, as a result of this reflection, values in other ledger cells in fusion_place may change. The latest data will then be retrieved and pasted into the Excel sheet. [1]

    • Only data regions set to "Retrieve and Reflect" or "Reflect Only" in Linked Region Settings will be subject to data reflection.
During the retrieval process following the reflection, only linked regions set to "Retrieve and Reflect" or "Retrieve Only" will be targeted.

    • Data reflection is only executed for data that the user has write permissions for. If the user is a view-only user, data will not be reflected to the ledger, even if the above processes are executed. Additionally, ledgers with child editions cannot be written to, so data will not be reflected in the same manner. "Published Editions" are an example of this.

1. For template processing sheets, processing will be performed as explained in template processing specifications.
